CHRONICLE SMITH
A Farm in Suebi
Chapter 1 – A farm in Suebi lands
In the quiet village of Fons Frigidus, or Kaldathal, where Roman ruins and tribal roots intertwine, young Aderico lives a life shaped by tradition, toil, and unspoken questions. The valley provides, the family bonds are strong, and the rules are clear—at least on the surface.
But as the sun sets and the fields shimmer in moonlight, something stirs within him. Aderico begins to question the price of peace under Roman rule, the weight of inherited duty, and the dreams quietly burning beyond the horizon.
Can a man born of soil and silence ever become more than what the land allows?
Something in him says yes. And it’s growing louder.
Chapter 2 - The harvest festival
As autumn descends on the village of Kaldathal, a harvest festival stirs both joy and tension. Amid songs, sacred rituals, and the clash between old gods and the new faith, young Aderico finds himself torn—between tradition and change, duty and desire.
A chance encounter with a mysterious girl named Walda sparks something unfamiliar in him. But when her brother, the proud and brutal Baldric, publicly humiliates Aderico, it ignites a fire he didn’t know he carried.
By night’s end, with his jaw bruised and his heart in turmoil, Aderico must face a question he can no longer avoid: who is he, and who does he truly want to become?
